AlisA Sargsyan
Alisa is an Armenian-American classical pianist and award-winning composer based in Washington, USA.
Her artistic life is rooted in performance, collaboration, and creative expression. An actively performing soloist and experienced chamber musician, she brings a refined musical voice to both classical and contemporary repertoire, while her music compositions reflect a deep engagement with storytelling, cultural heritage, and artistic dialogue.
Alisa's multifaceted career bridges the realms of performance, composition, education, and public service. Her work emphasizes cultural exchange, collaboration among artists of diverse disciplines, and preservation of Armenian cultural heritage.
Alongside her performing career, Alisa is a committed civic arts leader, serving as Chair of the City of Kirkland Cultural Arts Commission and as a board member of Seattle’s Gallery Concerts, where she advocates for vibrant, inclusive community arts.
Deeply engaged in the study of musical management and contemporary performance practices, Alisa has extensively explored the evolution and sustainability of classical music in the modern world.
Her scholarly work, reflected in numerous musicological publications, culminated in a doctoral dissertation “Musical Art and Music Management: Contemporary Challenges and Development Prospects”, earning her a Doctor of Arts degree from the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia.
