Arts Commissioner

As Chair of the Kirkland Cultural Arts Commission, Alisa serves as the leading representative and facilitator of the KCAC’s mission to support local Art and Cultural initiatives, advise the City Council on art acquisition and promote strategic arts planning in Kirkland, Washington. In her role, Alisa is responsible for guiding numerous successful Art projects, among them the Park Lane Outdoor Sculpture Gallery, Kirkland Frog Xsing, Public Art acquisition for Fire Stations 21, 22, 26, and 27, Utility Boxes Art Wraps, Re-imagining the Kalakala, and more.
A graduate of the City’s first Kirkland Initiative Program, Alisa gained an in-depth understanding of municipal operations and interdepartmental collaboration in public service. She further enhanced her civic expertise by completing the Washington State Department of Commerce’s Short Course on Local Planning, attending Robert’s Rules of Order training with parliamentary expert Ann McFarlane, and serving as an Ambassador for the Lake Washington Schools Foundation.
In 2024 Alisa Sargsyan successfully petitioned the City of Kirkland to formally recognize the Armenian Genocide and proclaim April 24 as Armenian Day of Rememberance in the city of Kirkland.


Gallery Concerts
As a member of the Board of Directors, Alisa Sargsyan contributes her professional experience and artistic insight to Gallery Concerts, a distinguished Seattle-based cultural organization.
Gallery Concerts is committed to presenting Chamber music of the 17-19th centuries performed by leading classical musicians on period instruments, in historically informed styles and appropriate acoustic spaces.
